Mitochondrial medicine
Mitochondria are the “power plants” of the body. They are present in every cell in the body except the red blood cells. In addition to producing energy for our bodily function, they have many other critical functions for optimal health. Mitochondrial produce energy by taking the food we eat and combining it with the oxygen we inhale to produce energy.
MitoSwab
Analyzes complex I and IV of the mitochondrial Electron Transport Chain (ETC)
MitoSwab Plus
Analyzes complex I, II, III and IV of the mitochondrial ETC
MitoSeQ
Analyzes the mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA)
MitoSeQ Plus
Analyzes mtDNA plus nDNA involved in mitochondrial function

MitoSwab
Buccal Swab Test to analyze the Mitochondrial Electron Transport Chain Complex (ETC I & IV)

MitoSeQ
Mitochondrial DNA Sequencing
Who should consider MitoSeQ and MitoSeQ Plus?
Symptoms involving more than three organ systems, Developmental Delay, Loss of skills, Learning Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Muscle Weakness, Seizures, Peripheral Neuropathy, Hearing Loss, Blindness, Ophthalmoplegia, Stroke Like Symptoms, Cerebral Palsy, Headache.
The Mitochondria has its own DNA. Mitochondrial DNA contains 37 genes, all of which are essential for normal mitochondrial function. In humans, mitochondrial DNA spans about 16,500 DNA building blocks (base pairs), representing a small fraction of the total DNA in cells.
